Simple things

Today, I was alone processing my adjustment/enrollment forms. I came to school around 01:07PM and was able to finish around 4:24PM. (Yeah, I was taking note of the time considering how madly bored and lonely I was.)

4:27, I went to Ministop to eat. Still, I was alone, took a chair and started feasting with my chicken, with my phone beside me. Suddenly, a street kid sat beside me and asked for the time, so I told her mag-aalas-quatro imedya na. After looking at my phone, she was amused by the transition of pages and out of my consent, she started playing games.

I was just overwhelmed how respectful she was, she was saying po and opo to me while I we were having small talks about the game. I was really happy about it and appreciated her company since I was all alone the whole day.

After my meal, I politely asked for my phone back, and she returned it to me. I only had P20 left in my pocket, I wanted to get her a cone of ice cream, but on the other hand, I’d have nothing left to go back home.

Aaaaand, I decided to just get her the ice cream, and I, with no doubts, walked home.

—— While walking home, I was happy with what I did. It’s such a fulfilling sentiment to be able to share something to the less fortunate. That little girl made my day. I’m getting her another cone, next time I see her.
